Organic

Naturally grown Organic Foods

There’s a word full of controversy! For someone battling disease, however, there is no controversy. Avoiding chemicals and artificial compounds in your food is crucial. It’s important that your food intake is as "clean" as possible (and I’m not just talking about the outside!) and that you are not adding alien compounds to an already overwhelmed and toxic body. Use natural compounds, like citrus oil or food grade hydrogen peroxide to kill unsafe bacteria from fresh (even organic) fruits and vegetables while your immune function is low due to chemotherapy or other immune deficiencies. When foods are grown with chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, hormones and antibiotics, that’s what you eat and no amount of rinsing the outside is going to remove these compounds from the cellular structure of the food. A healthy immune system may be able to manage these toxins, but if you are fighting disease, you need your immune system for gaining on the disease. Forcing it to divide its attention between managing new toxins and fighting disease just reduces the number of players dedicated to overcoming the disease.
