Thank you for your thoughtful commentary, Ian. It's a matter of people taking control of their choices and doing their own research. The Holistic Kitchen endeavors to provide material that is both enlightening and questioning of mainstream information we are fed by the FDA, the Food Industry and sometimes traditional medicine, which is often driven by the interests of pharmaceutical companies. The Holistic Kitchen encourages every person, healthy today or battling some form of disease, to step outside this bubble of force fed information and start investigating the alternatives!

A great place to start is by reading Michael Pollan's
In Defense of Food
. It is an awakening body of work!

this article touched me for my father at the end of his life was on
ensure. we had a meeting at a well known hospital with the nutrition
person who actually told us this product was healthy. we all knew it was not and were amazed that this is they type food selection given to those who really need whole food to energize their systems. it sounds like holistic kitchen has the knowledge that can help others. it would be beneficial to many to have a company like this help design food selections at hospitals where patients would know that they are getting the best possible
